Overview

HCA HealthONE Mountain Ridge, a leading healthcare provider, seeks an experienced Respiratory Therapist to join its team. As a vital part of the patient care team, you will deliver high-quality respiratory care to patients in accordance with departmental requirements and state standards.

Salary Information

The estimated hourly wage for this position is $34.29 - $53.79. This estimate represents the typical range for candidates hired in similar roles, taking into account factors such as specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees.

Job Responsibilities

  • You will perform patient assessments, including breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressure, and document findings accordingly.
  • Conduct diagnostic procedures to evaluate the need for and response to respiratory therapy.
  • Administer oxygen delivery, aerosol medication delivery, and chest physiotherapy as prescribed by medical staff.
  • Assist with placement of artificial airways and initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation.
  • Monitor patients for therapeutic response and notify providers of any unintended responses.
  • Transport ventilator-dependent patients as needed and respond to emergent situations ensuring airway integrity and adequate ventilation during resuscitation.

Required Qualifications

  • NBRC-accredited RRT credential.
  • Current Colorado Respiratory License.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications through AHA or ARC are required; PALS certification is also necessary.
  • NRP preferred, especially for NICU work.
  • Graduate of AMA-accredited Respiratory Therapist Program.
  • At least 6 months of previous experience.
