Position Summary
The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) plays a crucial role in delivering patient care and assisting with data collection during assessments, always under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or licensed physician.
Key Responsibilities
- Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures.
- Represent the mission and values of New Hope Ranch in all interactions.
- Meet productivity expectations and fulfill duties as required.
- Collect relevant medical information within the scope of practice, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
- Notify appropriate personnel of new admissions as necessary.
- Administer and document vital signs and assessments, including pain and anxiety scales.
- Oversee medication management, including administration and documentation.
- Provide direct care to a diverse patient population across various stages of recovery.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement care plans.
- Educate patients and families about treatment options and medication use.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to compliance standards.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and training.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited vocational nursing program with active licensure.
- Preferred experience in mental health or substance use treatment.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification.
- Knowledge of nursing principles and regulatory standards.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
