Job Title: Circuitry Specialist

Job Summary: Perform simple wiring and assembly operations on components, sub-assemblies, systems, and may assist in fabrication of major units under general supervision.

Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret wiring diagrams and op sheets
• Use color code for component identification
• Perform repetitive, preparatory, and intermediate wiring functions on chassis, components, and sub-assemblies
• Perform P.C. board repairs and solder touch-up
• May be required to make a variety of cables and harnesses using wire boards
• May check work for connections, continuity, insulation, and other electrical factors using ohmmeters, computer hardware/software, and other electrical test equipment
• Soldering to military specification
• Prepares wires and/or components by cutting to length, tinning, bonding, and attaching terminals
• Solders plugs and sockets to cable wires
• Identifies wires, twists, sews, ties, and laces and makes simple cables
• Solders and connects wires to exposed components such as resistor boards, plugs, and printed circuit boards
• Performs non-precision mechanical assembly operations of electrical and mechanical components
• Utilize all hand tools necessary for the performance of duties such as wire stripper, pliers, tweezers, soldering iron, etc.

Estimated Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per year
