Job Summary:
This role is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of recreational programs at the Sulphur Springs YMCA. The Youth Sports Team Leader will work closely with the Program Director to set up playing surfaces, maintain equipment, and provide exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Program Director to plan and implement program activities.
  • Maintain a safe and organized playing environment, including setup and teardown of equipment.
  • Welcome and engage with participants, parents, and coaches to ensure a positive experience.
  • Routinely inspect equipment and report any issues or needed repairs.
  • Perform additional functions as needed or requested by the Program Director or supervisor.


Requirements:
Must be at least 15 years old or older. Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to develop positive relationships with diverse groups and individuals. Demonstrates a high level of professionalism and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:
The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Includes standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 30 pounds. Must have flexibility and ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
