Position Overview:

The Surgical Services Technician plays a crucial role in assisting the surgical team during operations. Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and maintaining the sterile field for surgical procedures
  • Arranging and inventorying sterile setups
  • Understanding and applying aseptic techniques
  • Assisting in patient preparation and transportation
  • Cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing surgical instruments
  • Facilitating room turnover and cleanup
  • Accessing necessary digital information as required

Position Requirements:

  • Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology Program or equivalent training
  • Certification as a Surgical Technician in Washington is mandatory
  • Basic Life Support certification required upon hire
  • Preferred: Certified Surgical Technologist
  • Physical capability to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to maintain focus and attention to detail during procedures
