As a Senior Risk Management Specialist, you will be integral in representing Amazon Flex during conciliation discussions with the Australian Fair Work Commission (FWC) and other relevant arbitration entities. Your role encompasses comprehensive case management and collaboration with our legal teams to mitigate potential risks and prepare case documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

Representation in Conciliation:
  • Act as the primary representative for Amazon Flex in meetings with the Australian Fair Work Commission and other arbitration bodies.
  • Clearly communicate the company's stance, policies, and applicable regulations during these proceedings.
  • Negotiate and advocate for resolutions that benefit both parties while ensuring compliance with legal standards.

Legal Collaboration and Risk Mitigation:
  • Work closely with legal and enforcement teams to evaluate and address risks related to labor disputes and compliance challenges.
  • Conduct in-depth analyses of claims and evidence to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Provide insights to internal and external legal counsel regarding the specifics of enforcement protocols.
  • Offer feedback to enforcement program leaders to enhance proactive risk management efforts.

Case Management:
  • Compile, organize, and safeguard detailed case files, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Engage with the Flex I&O team to gather evidence and collaborate with stakeholders for effective case preparation.
  • Coordinate with various departments and external legal representatives to align on strategies and timelines.

Risk Assessment and Strategy Development:
  • Identify emerging risks and regulatory trends that may impact company operations and employee relations.
  • Develop proactive strategies and policy recommendations to minimize legal exposure.
  • Provide training and guidance to internal teams on best practices for representing Amazon in arbitration contexts.

Compliance Monitoring:
  • Oversee adherence to internal policies related to the Digital Labour Platform Deactivation Code, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for senior management regarding enforcement-related risks and trends.

Qualifications:
  • 6+ years of experience in compliance, audit, or risk management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in engaging with regulatory agencies.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Proven ability to build cross-functional partnerships and influence stakeholders.
