**Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Opportunity**

**Qualifications and Responsibilities:**
• Certification as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
• A caring and loving personality and demeanor

• Ability to read, write and speak English

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will be responsible for providing exceptional nursing care in accordance with our policies and procedures. You will have all the training, support, tools and equipment you need to provide the highest degree of quality care. Our team of nursing care professionals and mentors will be by your side every day, including a Charge Nurse, RN Supervisor, Director of Nursing and Administrator.

**Key Responsibilities:**
1. Enhance the clinical care and quality of life of our residents, ensuring all resident rights are protected.
2. Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician.
3. Check all residents daily to ensure prescribed treatment is being properly administered by nursing personnel/assistants and evaluate their physical and emotional status.
4. Keep the RN Supervisor informed about the status of residents, staff and related matters.
5. Implement recommended changes as directed by the RN Supervisor or the Director of Nurses.
6. Administer professional services such as catheterization, tube feeding, suction, applying and changing dressings/bandages, packs, colostomy and drainage bags, taking blood, sputum, and urine specimens, etc., as established by the facility's policies and procedures.
7. Complete all Licensed Practical Nurse LPN required record keeping forms/charts upon the resident's admission, discharge, transfer, etc. File in the resident's chart and/or forward to the appropriate department.
8. Give and receive nursing reports upon reporting in and ending shift duty hours.
9. Investigate complaints and grievances and make necessary oral/written reports to the RN Supervisor or Director of Nurses.
10. Present a professional image to residents and families through dress, behavior and speech.
11. Adhere to our policies and standards.
