Job Summary

We are seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team at Trinity Grove, a Lutheran Services Carolinas community. As a CNA, you will provide residents with routine daily nursing care and services in accordance with their assessment and care plan.

Responsibilities
  • Provide resident-centered care, ensuring residents are treated with kindness, dignity, and respect.
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Assist with meals, including serving and set up of meal trays, and preparing and serving thickened liquids as needed.
  • Ambulate, transfer, lift, turn, and reposition residents following established policies for safe lifting and in accordance with their ability and care plan.
  • Document resident care and services as instructed, utilizing the electronic medical record system.
  • Complete tasks as assigned, including taking vital signs, providing catheter care, applying TED hose, weighing and measuring residents, collecting specimens, and providing range of motion exercises and other restorative procedures as indicated.
  • Report changes in resident condition timely and appropriately, and report possible abuse or crimes against a resident.
Requirements
  • Certified as a CNA in the state of North Carolina.
  • Complete continuing education as required to maintain certification.
  • Physical exertion involving pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 35 pounds, and occasional lifting weights up to 50 pounds.
  • Able to assist in the repositioning and transferring of individuals of varying weights following established safe lifting procedures.
