Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Leader to join our team at Samaritas, a Michigan-based human service organization. As a key member of our clinical team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional care to our residents and supporting their overall well-being.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality nursing care to residents, including medication administration, documentation, and therapeutic treatments.
  • Conduct daily rounds to observe residents and ensure their nursing and restorative needs are being met.
  • Consult with physicians to plan resident care, treatment, and rehabilitation.
  • Admit, transfer, and discharge residents as necessary, ensuring their rooms are ready for occupancy.
  • Review and complete informative nurses' notes of the nursing care provided and resident's response to care.
  • Provide shift supervision to certified nursing assistants, including assignments of resident care.
  • Support attraction and staff retention efforts, including hiring, onboarding, staff development, coaching, and performance management.
  • Initiate timely incident investigations, ensuring immediate resident and staff safety.
Qualifications
  • Current State of Michigan RN or LPN license.
  • One year experience as an RN or LPN in long-term care with general knowledge in dementia care services preferred.
