About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Trauma Therapist to join our interdisciplinary team at Riverside Health System. As a Trauma Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing evidence-based trauma-informed therapeutic services to patients/victims of crime.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess biopsychosocial functioning of assigned patients using effective interviewing skills, behavioral observation, and mental health assessment skills.
  • Provide quality and clinically sound individual and group therapy interventions based on assessed needs.
  • Collaborate as an active member of the interdisciplinary team, communicating patient and family needs to team members and integrating clinical interventions with the plan of care.
  • Complete individualized, thorough medical record documentation according to RRMC policy.
  • Establish and maintain solid relationships with referral sources, agency personnel, and community providers.
Requirements
  • Masters Degree, or higher in healthcare related field such as social work, education, counseling, psychology, human services, or related field.
  • 3-4 years Clinical experience as a licensed therapist.
  • CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) within 30 Days.
  • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) - Virginia Department of Health Professions (VDHP) Upon Hire, or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) - Virginia Department of Health Professions (VDHP) Upon Hire, or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) - Virginia Department of Health Professions (VDHP) Upon Hire, or Licensed Substance Abuse Counselor - Virginia Department of Health Professions (VDHP) Upon Hire.
