Job Opportunity

We are seeking highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Swim Instructors at the Greater Somerset County YMCA. As a Swim Instructor, you will play a vital role in teaching students of various ages and skill levels to build confidence in and around the water.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans to promote water safety and swimming skills
  • Teach group classes to preschool and school-aged children, focusing on stroke development and water safety techniques
  • Provide a safe and supportive learning environment for students
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and effective aquatic program

Requirements:

  • Must be 15 years of age or older
  • Must have experience working with children
  • Must have strong interest in teaching preschool and school-aged children
  • Experience with parent-child classes or willingness to learn is a plus
  • Must have First Aid and CPR/AED Certification (or obtain upon hire)
