Job Summary

Fresenius Medical Care North America is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as a Dialysis Nurse in our Transitional Care Unit. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the highest level of quality and safety in our dialysis services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing dialysis, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Conduct regular patient assessments to identify potential complications and take proactive steps to prevent them.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician, and document all patient interactions and care provided.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest dialysis technologies and techniques.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Current RN licensure in the state of employment.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in nephrology nursing, preferably in a dialysis setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to lift, move, and position patients as needed, with or without assistance.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
