Job Summary

We're seeking a skilled Veterinary Technician to join our team at CityVet. As a key member of our veterinary team, you'll play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our veterinarians in their daily work.

Responsibilities
  • Assist veterinarians with patient care, including preparing patients for surgery, administering anesthesia, and gathering lab samples.
  • Monitor patients post-operatively and restrain animals during exams.
  • Obtain and test samples, including stool, blood, and other specimens.
  • Administer medications and vaccines as prescribed by the veterinarian.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, providing them with accurate information and instructions on animal care.
  • Collaborate with the Client Service Specialist team to ensure seamless communication and support.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 18 years of age at the time of hire.
  • Minimum 1 year of veterinary industry experience.
  • Ability to safely restrain animals and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and team-oriented.
