International SOS is a leading medical and security services company with a global presence. We are seeking a highly skilled Paramedic to join our team in Sabine Pass, TX. The successful candidate will provide emergency medical care to patients in a variety of settings, including industrial and remote locations.

Job Summary

The Paramedic will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating direct and indirect clinical care to patients. They will work as part of an interdisciplinary team to provide patient-centered care, advocating for the patient and their family. The Paramedic will utilize their expertise in evidenced-based medical practice to manage unexpected and emergent situations, providing prompt and professional care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide emergency medical care in basic and advanced life support settings.
  • Assess and manage patients with a variety of injuries and illnesses.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Document and report patient observations and treatment provided.
  • Establish and maintain patient goals using care plans within protocols.
  • Assist medical providers with medical procedures and treatments as allowed within licensed scope of work.
  • Attend to injuries or sudden illnesses by applying a variety of pre-hospital simple and advanced treatments.
  • Proactively and independently administer basic care, including but not limited to inserting catheters with blood specimen collection, urine collection and EKG's, visual acuity, basic wound care, changing bandages or administering intravenous medications.
  • Assist patients with basic care and activities of daily living, as needed.
  • Use tech equipment and tools to stabilize patients or provide immediate treatment.
  • Monitor the patient's condition en route to the treating facility; Report all changes in patient's conditions to the medical provider.
  • Collaborate with interested parties (police, firefighting unit, doctors, etc.)
  • Write and submit accurate reports on incidents.
  • Adhere to established medical protocols and procedures as well as legal guidelines and health and safety standards.
  • Keep abreast with new treatments and medical procedures through continuous training.
  • Provides support and education to help patients make responsible health decisions.
  • Maintains supply inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies.
  • Restocking clinical and provider areas once supplies are received.
  • Cross-train to work within in the clinics, emergency room, and inpatient units.
Required Work Experience
  • Minimum of three (3) years of paramedic experience
  • Experience in a clinic setting (urgent care, emergency room, etc.)
  • Occupational Medicine experience required.
Required Qualifications
  • Paramedic Texas State Certification
  • ACLS
  • BLS
Required Languages

Excellent written and oral English
