Join Our Team: Colonial Chevrolet of Acton is seeking an experienced Automotive Transmission/Drivability Repair Technician to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest level of customer service while performing complex repairs and maintenance on our customers' vehicles.

About the Job: This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong technical skills and excellent communication abilities. As a Transmission/Drivability Repair Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex transmission issues, as well as performing routine maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards
  • Disassemble, diagnose, and repair vehicle transmission
  • Clean and inspect all parts
  • Provide labor and time estimates for additional automotive repairs
  • Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to service advisors and customers
  • Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions to stay abreast with rapidly changing technology
  • Inspect and test new vehicles and record findings to make necessary repairs

Qualifications:

  • Must have at least 2 years of experience as a transmission technician
  • Must have some level of instructor-led automotive training
  • Team-oriented, flexible, and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service
  • Must have working knowledge of shop equipment
  • Must have a valid driver's license
