Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Technician I to join our team at LMR Technical Group. The successful candidate will provide technical support services associated with various industrial operations, depot repair activities, and torpedo intermediate maintenance functions.

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial operations and maintenance, with experience working with complex equipment and systems.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling and disassembling, repairing, cleaning, and providing engineering and preventative maintenance to vehicle shells, buoys, and components in support of programs on the NUWCDIVKPT Industrial Support Services (ISS) contract.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing simple routine tasks under close supervision or from detailed procedures
  • Assembling or installing equipment or parts requiring simple wiring, soldering, or connecting
  • Providing technical support services associated with various industrial operations, depot repair activities, and torpedo intermediate maintenance functions
  • Working with complex equipment and systems, including vehicle shells, buoys, and components
  • Providing engineering and preventative maintenance to support programs on the NUWCDIVKPT ISS contract

Requirements:

  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance
  • At least one (1) year of experience providing industrial operations support
  • Some manual lifting up to 75 pounds may be required with this position
  • May be required to complete a fitness-for-duty physical/screening, as required by the government for work in specific shops
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A current, active secret security clearance is preferred

Desired Qualifications:

  • Licensed and certified to operate 6,000-pound electric and diesel forklift and CAT III overhead crane
  • Ability and experience to operate pallet jack and Big Joe stand-behind pallet lift mechanism
