Welder Specialist

Job Summary
Industrial Trade Services is seeking a skilled Journeyman Welder to join our team. As a key member of our fabrication department, you will be responsible for welding and assembling various metal components, ensuring high-quality products that meet our customers' expectations.

About the Role
As a Journeyman Welder at Industrial Trade Services, you will work on a variety of projects, including piping systems, plate, pipe, and tube or structural shapes. Your primary responsibilities will include selecting equipment and planning layouts, assembly, and welding, applying knowledge of geometry, physical properties of metal machining, weld shrinkage, and welding techniques. You will also lay out, position, align, and fit components together in various body positions, bolt, clamp, and weld metal components together using arc and gas welding equipment.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have a strong understanding of welding processes, including Gas-Metal Arc, Flux-Cored Arc, Gas-Tungsten Arc, Submerged Arc, and Shielded Metal Arc welding. You should also have excellent communication skills, as you will be working with colleagues and supervisors to ensure project deadlines are met. Additionally, you must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods, as well as pass employer performance tests or standard tests to meet certification standards.
