We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Lead Principal Engineer to join our Radar Systems Development team at Northrop Grumman. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and directing cross-discipline engineering teams during the design, manufacturing, and delivery phases of our Swordfish Program.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and direct cross-discipline engineering teams to deliver high-quality radar systems
- Interpret and execute work assigned by program leadership, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery
- Interface with functional leadership to secure team staffing and resources
- Work with suppliers to articulate project requirements and ensure compliance
- Brief internal and customer leadership on progress of work assigned to the POD Team
- Support proposal development and new program acquisition efforts
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or STEM-related discipline with 9 or more years of experience, or 7 years with a master's degree or 4 years of experience with a Ph.D.
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills and effective communication with customers and employees
- Domain expertise in Radar POD Development and previous manufacturing engineering experience
- Work experience and/or exposure to supply chain, manufacturing, and suppliers
- Experience with hardware design process, business capture engagement, and proposals
- US Citizenship and an Active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application
- Master's degree in STEM-related field
- Experience as a Subject Matter Expert, Technical Lead, or Integrated Product Team Lead in a program office
- Direct experience managing or leading engineering teams
- Support on product line development and technical roadmaps
- Expertise in design, manufacturing, and test processes of large programs
- Problem-solving experience in large team environments
