Emergency Care Registered Nurse

Position Overview:
The skilled Nurse, operating within a similar healthcare environment, works autonomously and maintains a comprehensive understanding of all pertinent elements of patient care.
Delivers both routine and intricate nursing services, with a focus on long-term objectives and strategies. Continues to enhance the capability to handle and navigate the complexities of clinical nursing. Appropriately assigns tasks and delegates responsibilities to other healthcare professionals to effectively manage the clinical environment.Qualifications:
A. Educational Background/Skills
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred. B. Professional Experience
- Minimum of 1 year in a relevant nursing specialty is preferred. C. Certifications and Licenses
- BLS certification is mandatory.
- RN License in the state of practice or compact license.
- Current PALS certification required at the time of employment or within 12 weeks for experienced RNs, or completion by the end of the clinical orientation for new graduate nurses. Certification must be maintained thereafter.
- Current ACLS certification required at the time of employment or within 12 weeks for experienced RNs, or completion by the end of the clinical orientation for new graduate nurses. Certification must be maintained thereafter.
- Current TNCC and ENPC certification within 12 months for experienced RNs or completion within 18 months for new graduate nurses. Certification must be maintained thereafter.
- Current NIHSS certification required at the time of employment or within 90 days for experienced RNs, or completion within 12 months for new graduate nurses. Certification must be maintained thereafter.
- Moderate Sedation certification within 3 months for experienced RNs or within 12 months for new graduate nurses. Certification must be maintained annually.
- De-escalation training required within 90 days of employment and must be maintained as indicated by the program.
- Completion of an evidence-based triage curriculum at: 12 months for new graduate or inexperienced RNs (less than 1 year of nursing experience) and 3 months for experienced RNs (more than 1 year of nursing experience).
- Critical Care/Emergency Department experience is preferred.
- Current Arrhythmia recognition required at the time of employment or within 8 weeks for experienced RNs, or completion within 6 months for new graduate nurses.
Work Schedule:
