Position Overview:
As an Industrial Maintenance Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting our manufacturing processes by delivering comprehensive multi-craft equipment maintenance with an emphasis on reliability and efficiency.
Shift: 3rd Shift 11 pm to 7 am
Hours:
This is an hourly position with opportunities for overtime.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose equipment failures using systematic troubleshooting techniques.
- Install and align mechanical drive systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Execute all assigned preventive maintenance tasks, including major servicing and overhauls.
- Replace defective parts or components as identified.
- Adjust machinery to meet operational specifications.
- Manage lubrication requirements for machinery.
- Suggest improvements to processes or procedures based on equipment observations.
Electrical Systems Maintenance:
- Test electrical systems and verify circuit continuity using tools such as ohmmeters and voltmeters to ensure safe and effective operation.
- Install, inspect, replace, or repair electrical wiring, outlets, switch boxes, conduits, lighting fixtures, and other electrical components.
Data Management:
- Maintain accurate maintenance records to track historical data and forecast future maintenance needs.
- Mentor and train junior technicians and operators on best practices for equipment servicing and condition monitoring.
Continuous Learning:
- Foster a learning mindset to stay updated with the latest maintenance techniques and equipment advancements.
- Complete an annual Maintenance Skills Assessment and participate in training activities based on assessment outcomes.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Strong mechanical and electrical expertise.
- Proficient in computer applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, CMMS, etc.).
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and OEM manuals.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and equipment.
- Experience with standard shop equipment such as drill presses, band saws, and portable power tools.
- Competence in reading and interpreting precision measuring instruments.
- Ability to mentor and guide fellow technicians on the maintenance team.
- Capable of managing multiple tasks concurrently.
- Successful completion of relevant certification testing is preferred.
- A 2-year Technical Degree is desirable.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial manufacturing or a related field is required.
