Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Fertility Specialist at Cny Fertility Ctr. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, education, and support in the area of fertility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide patient-specific care and support in the area of fertility, including phlebotomy, specimen collection and labeling, and transportation to the lab.
- Administer medications and follow medication protocols, as well as provide patient education and medication administration teaching.
- Triage patient problems, questions, and concerns to the appropriate area, and maintain factual and thorough health care records.
- Communicate and review laboratory results with patients, and assist physicians with embryo transfers and other fertility procedures as needed.
- Perform transvaginal and abdominal follicular and prenatal ultrasounds, and monitor and manage fertility treatment cycles under the direction and supervision of physicians.
- Supervise licensed practical nurses and medical assistants, and participate in staff development, nursing conferences, and continuing education.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an approved registered nursing program, with a minimum of one year of technical training and experience in a fertility or reproductive health setting.
- Current New York State Registered Nurse License, CPR/BLS certification, and proficiency in injections, venipunctures, and administering oral medications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports and correspondence, and speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
