Responsibilities
  • Prepare Work: Study assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists to gather necessary materials and tools.
  • Position Parts: Use templates or read measurements to accurately position parts and subassemblies.
  • Assemble Components: Examine connections for correct fit and fasten parts and subassemblies to meet product specifications.
  • Resolve Assembly Issues: Alter dimensions to meet specifications and notify supervisor to obtain additional resources as needed.
  • Maintain Equipment: Complete preventive maintenance requirements, troubleshoot malfunctions, and call for repairs to ensure equipment is operational.
  • Ensure a Safe Working Environment: Comply with procedures, rules, and regulations to maintain a safe and clean working environment.
  • Manage Supplies: Check stock levels, anticipate needed supplies, and place orders to maintain an adequate inventory.
  • Document Actions: Complete production and quality forms to document actions and ensure quality control.
Requirements
  • 0-2 years of relevant experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent in a related field
  • Knowledge of controls and instrumentation, equipment maintenance, and manufacturing experience
  • Ability to use mechanical inspection tools and power tools
  • Good judgment and decision-making skills
