We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Director to join our team at International SOS Government Medical Services. As a Medical Director, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality medical services in a remote and challenging environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide primary and emergency care to personnel in a remote setting.
- Manage chronic conditions and support medical evacuations.
- Maintain medical records in accordance with federal and state regulations.
- Lead quality development and clinical governance agendas.
- Inspect and maintain medical clinic and equipment.
- Provide direct supervision of medical staff and care oversight.
- Collaborate with other medical professionals as needed.
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing or Nurse Practice from an accredited institution.
- Current and unrestricted license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in at least one state within the United States, the District of Columbia, or Puerto Rico.
- Certification by a recognized national certifying body (e.g., ANCC, AANP) appropriate to the NP's specialty.
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Certification by the American College of Surgeons - Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) is preferred.
- DEA license.
- Previous experience in military or remote medical settings.
- Experience in coordinating and managing medical evacuations.
- Familiarity with remote site medical logistics and supply management.
- Familiarity with mortuary affairs procedures and remote site medical logistics.
- Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time.
- Ability to work in a remote and potentially challenging environment with limited resources.
- Capacity to respond quickly to emergencies and provide care under stressful conditions.
- May require bending, stooping, and lifting up to 35 lbs.
- Must obtain and maintain a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) or Tier 1 investigation equivalent if working over 180 days in a fiscal year.
- Availability to work during clinic hours and respond to emergencies as needed.
- Willingness to travel to and work at Eareckson Air Station for extended periods.
- US Citizen with a valid passport.
