Cybersecurity Firewall Specialist (Palo Alto Policies) - 100% remote (EST working hours*)
Optomi, in collaboration with a leading pharmaceutical and healthcare organization, is seeking a Cybersecurity Firewall Specialist to join the Cybersecurity division. The specialist will play a crucial role in developing Palo Alto policies within a large-scale enterprise framework.
This is a contract role with potential for conversion. It is a full-time position (40 hours per week) on W2, with benefits available. No C2C/1099 options are offered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in projects and initiatives related to Palo Alto firewalls, ensuring the implementation of appropriate policies.
- Investigate and propose enhancements to networking methodologies and practices.
- Create, document, and disseminate project plans for significant initiatives as assigned by management.
- Evaluate and suggest advancements in networking technologies and strategies.
- Provide regular updates to management regarding the status of ongoing work.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of pertinent IT experience, with a minimum of 3-5 years focused on Palo Alto firewalls and policy administration.
- Advanced to expert-level experience in Firewall policy management (Palo Alto).
- Bachelor's degree or technical institute degree/certificate, or equivalent professional experience.
- Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of Panorama.
- Familiarity with general IT principles beyond the primary area of expertise.
- Strong interpersonal skills; effective collaborator.
- Excellent analytical abilities with a keen attention to detail.
- Advanced understanding of routing and switching.
- Solid knowledge of general data center technologies.
*Candidates should ideally be located in EST or CST. EST working hours are mandatory.
