Tax Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Accountant to join our team at The HR Source. As a Tax Accountant, you will be responsible for facilitating and managing the accurate and timely preparation and review of corporate, partnership, and individual federal, state, and local tax returns for our clients.

• Develop and implement tax strategies to help clients maintain compliance with local, state, and federal tax laws and regulations.
• Conduct tax research for compliance issues and planning, and communicate the effects of legislative and regulatory tax law developments to the Tax Services team.
• Manage and facilitate correspondence with the IRS and other tax authorities.
• Create strategies to capitalize on changes to tax legislation.

• An active CPA license is a must (Master in Taxation is a plus).
• Minimum of 5 years of public accounting tax experience (must be current or very recent).
• Heavy tax review experience is crucial, including 1120/1120S and 1065, as well as 1040/1041.
• Knowledge of multistate tax laws and experience with CCH ProSystem fx Tax and Engagement and CCH IntelliConnect/AnswerConnect software are big pluses.
• Possess extensive individual, corporate, and partnership tax knowledge and experience.
• Are self-motivated and able to work independently but also a team player, establishing good working relationships with all team members.
