The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) carries out a range of professional nursing responsibilities in accordance with Comprehensive Home Care regulations, adhering to established policies and procedures within our welcoming senior Assisted Living community.

This nursing role offers a flexible schedule, including:

  • Casual hours; Day (7am-7pm) and Night (7pm-7am) shifts available
  • A minimum of 3 shifts per month, including one weekend shift
  • At least one holiday shift annually

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver skilled nursing care, including implementing physician orders, managing medications and supplies, operating medical equipment, and maintaining accurate documentation
  • Assist with lifting and transferring residents as necessary
  • Initiate emergency interventions when required
  • Supervise the performance of unlicensed staff
  • Provide updates to the RN regarding resident observations and complete health status documentation
  • Communicate any changes in residents' conditions to appropriate parties
  • May assist the RN with resident assessments, service agreements, and care plans

Qualifications

Required:

  • Valid FL Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license by the start date
  • AHA (American Heart Association) BLS for Healthcare Providers or Red Cross CPR for Professional Rescuers certification

Preferred:

  • Previous experience in healthcare settings
  • Proficient in using computers, handheld devices, telephones, and fax machines
