Job Summary

This role involves working as a scrub person, surgeon assistant, and assistant circulator for all newborn, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient procedures under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. The successful candidate will also be responsible for performing various duties within the surgery department, including OR housekeeping chores, Central Sterile processing, and transporting patients as requested by charge personnel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nurses during surgical procedures
  • Clean and prepare operating rooms for procedures
  • Transport patients between departments
  • Participate in Central Sterile processing and maintain a clean and safe environment
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have a High School Diploma or GED, a graduate degree from a technical college with accredited Surgical Technologist curricula, and hold a valid Surgical Technologist Certification. Basic Life Support certification with the American Heart Association is also required.

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this role is $55,000 - $65,000, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including South Carolina State Retirement and Health Insurance, as well as opportunities for career growth and professional development.
