Job Summary:

The Director of Food Service Excellence at Chick-fil-A Mall Blvd DTO is responsible for driving kitchen-orientated strategies to propel the store towards our vision. This role guides the leadership team to push towards a shared vision that includes food safety, speed, and quality.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead continuous development of leadership, teaching, training, and delegating tasks to managers and team leaders.
  • Audit all systems and procedures to ensure accuracy, productivity, and safety in work processes. Quickly resolve any operational issues to prevent future occurrences.
  • Manage Food Cost, Labor, and Inventory Expenses within predetermined budgets and goals.
  • Possess characteristics such as drive, ownership, self-motivation, high-energy, servant's mentality, and follow-through.

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and guide kitchen leadership in their responsibilities, ensuring tasks are completed promptly, accurately, and correctly.
  • Work with leaders to grow their skills in individual tasks and areas of responsibility.
  • Handle personnel matters, including call-outs, time punch issues, and hiring.

Kitchen Efficiency:

  • Ensure systems are functioning correctly, including LEAN, rotation, and operations.
  • Oversee kitchen Critical Event Management (CEM).
  • Maintain labor and productivity standards.
  • Prevent unnecessary food waste and educate others on this practice.

Special Events and Training:

  • Coordinate special events to ensure smooth execution (e.g., Navy orders, DDDN).
  • Conduct or participate in training plans for kitchen staff.

Personal Development and Planning:

  • Maintain Personal Development Plans (One-on-Ones) for each leader, helping them develop leadership skills.
  • Schedule personal development time for business and leadership growth.
  • Plan time for store improvement, researching and planning focus areas.

Estimated Salary Range: $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
