Responsibilities

In this role, you will coordinate staffing for the unit and provide leadership to ensure the achievement of clinical goals and the delivery of quality patient care. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assigning, directing, educating, and supervising nursing and support personnel during your shift. Participating in or conducting performance evaluations of staff.
  • Assessing daily patient care requirements and developing care assignments to ensure appropriate care is provided.
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of patient care and identifying issues that may impact patient outcomes.
  • Addressing patient care complaints and managing them through established protocols.
  • Providing input on the hiring, training, and development of staff.
Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you must meet the following licensure and certification requirements:

  • BLS Provider certification obtained within 30 days of hire or transfer, accepted from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • Registered Nurse credential from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire or transfer. Licensure from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing or current home state license if applicable.

Additionally, you should possess:

  • Required professional licensure/certification and a minimum of one year of relevant experience.
