Position Overview:
- The selected anesthesiologist will focus on pediatric anesthesia, catering to neonates and children up to 18 years old. Responsibilities will encompass complex cases including trauma, neuro-anesthesia, spinal procedures, and airway surgeries. Anesthesia for infants and children with previously repaired cardiac conditions may also be part of the role, as determined by the supervising physician.
- The successful candidate will become a vital member of a compact team, serving as the 7th anesthesiologist within the practice. The role will involve a combination of Anesthesia Care Team Model (collaborating with pediatric CRNAs and Anesthesia Residents) and a 10-20% Solo Staff Model.
- The anticipated work schedule is Monday through Friday, with weekend and evening on-call duties allocated through a fair mathematical algorithm among the pediatric anesthesiologists.
- Additional financial incentives are available for overtime and weekend shifts, along with extra compensation for on-call responsibilities.
- Academic roles are available, offering opportunities to educate medical students and residents from affiliated institutions.
- The facility is a Pediatric Level II Trauma Center with 106 beds, serving as an academic site for medical education.
- Additional responsibilities may include providing anesthesia services at associated hospitals, ensuring comprehensive coverage for pediatric patients.
- This is a full-time employed position offering a competitive salary, productivity bonuses, relocation assistance, a comprehensive benefits package, and no state income tax.
- Utilization of the Epic EMR System is standard.
