Job Title: Health Psychologist

ChristianaCare is seeking a highly skilled Health Psychologist to join our Embedded Behavioral Health team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in enhancing and improving the quality of patient care by providing assessment, treatment, consultation, and education services for individuals experiencing behavioral health needs associated with their medical and health conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive clinical interviews and assessments to provide diagnostic impressions and treatment recommendations to patients with chronic pain and other health-related conditions.
  • Provide evidence-based psychological interventions, including individual and group therapy, to promote health behavior change and improve patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, case management, and psychiatrists, to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient clinical status, progress, and treatment in the electronic health record.
  • Coordinate care services with patients, families, providers, payment sources, and other involved parties to ensure seamless care transitions.
  • Participate in research, evaluation, and quality improvement projects to assess the effectiveness of the health psychology component and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements:
  • PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology required.
  • Delaware license or eligibility for licensure in the State of DE.
  • Three to five years of experience in clinical/health psychology, preferably working with individuals and groups to address chronic health-related conditions.
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary treatment teams in a medical setting.
