Digital Content Creator

Lancaster Farming Newspaper seeks a skilled Digital Content Creator to produce high-quality podcasts and digital content. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for audio production, research, interview preparation, collaboration, and web production.

We are Steinman Communications, Inc., an award-winning agricultural news outlet dedicated to delivering in-depth web stories, videos, and podcasts. Our ideal candidate is a motivated storyteller with a strong work ethic and passion for making quality content.

Salary: $45,000 - $55,000 per year

Key Responsibilities:

• Audioboom Production: Set up and manage recording sessions, handle audio equipment, and edit recordings into engaging content.
• Research: Conduct thorough research on a wide range of topics, finding unique angles and relevant experts.
• Interview Prep: Craft thoughtful, engaging questions that add depth to interviews.
• Collaboration & Communication: Engage in productive brainstorming sessions, communicate ideas clearly, and proactively keep teammates updated on ongoing projects.
• Web Production: Write coherent summaries and engaging copy for podcasts and videos, assist teammates with gathering supplementary assets for web content and/or videos.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2+ years in podcast production or similar digital audio roles, with a portfolio of previous audio work.
• Strong knowledge of audio production software (We use GarageBand) and recording equipment, with an ear for clean audio and effective storytelling.
• Demonstrated curiosity, research capability, and storytelling instincts, with a knack for creating content that resonates with listeners.
• Comfortable adapting to new tools, working under tight deadlines, and jumping in on new projects or tasks when needed.
• Excellent communication skills, a collaborative spirit, and the ability to take and give constructive feedback.
