The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java development and experience with laboratory information systems (LIMS). They will be responsible for assisting with the development and maintenance of our LIMS system, including integration points with clinician portals, automation, and ERP systems.

The successful candidate will be a self-starter with excellent communication and organizational skills. They will be able to quickly grasp big picture requirements and execute within a fast-paced environment of shifting priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the development and maintenance of LIMS system supporting Dx and CDx applications
  • Assist with the development of clinician-facing portal for order placement and sample tracking
  • Develop and document testing procedures to support new feature releases
  • Coordinate with our Quality team to validate LIMS updates and improvements

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in any biological science or engineering discipline
  • 2+ years of experience developing and maintaining LIMS systems in support of diagnostic and/or companion diagnostic assays
  • 2+ years programming experience with a high-level language such as Java, Python, Ruby
  • Experience with systems integration using Restful web services

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent knowledge regarding the development and support of LIMS systems including design considerations and constraints
  • Knowledge of software engineering best practices
  • Familiarity with a diagnostic molecular biology laboratory and HIPAA requirements
