The ideal candidate will have experience working with groups of elementary-age children and a passion for teaching science in a fun and engaging way.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-energy, hands-on science classes to elementary-age children using a pre-set curriculum.
  • Develop and maintain a positive and safe learning environment that encourages children to explore and learn.
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure a successful program.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to improve teaching skills and stay current with curriculum updates.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Education, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • At least 2 years of experience working with groups of elementary-age children (preferably in a science education setting).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to work a part-time schedule, including weekdays after 2 p.m.
