The Clinical Staff Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Hospital is responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care while demonstrating expertise in critical care nursing.
This position involves organizing and coordinating patient care, making clinical decisions based on assessments, and fostering therapeutic relationships with patients and their families.
The nurse collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to ensure effective discharge planning and supports the hospital's mission through performance improvement activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality patient care while demonstrating expertise in critical care nursing
- Organize and coordinate patient care, making clinical decisions based on assessments
- Foster therapeutic relationships with patients and their families
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure effective discharge planning
- Support the hospital's mission through performance improvement activities
Requirements:
- Associates Degree in Nursing or higher level of nursing degree required
- Minimum of one year of clinical nursing experience in Critical Care nursing
- Current California Nursing license
- Certification in Critical Care Nursing preferred
- Bilingual skills preferred (Spanish)
