We are seeking a qualified Pulmonology Specialist to provide exceptional medical care in a dynamic healthcare environment.

• Practice Type: Mixed inpatient and outpatient with an option for sleep medicine
• Call Schedule: 1 in 2
• Support Staff: Collaborate with a dedicated team including hospitalists, lab, and radiology professionals
• EMR System: Cerner

Location: A facility situated in a designated Health Professional Shortage Area (HPSA) and/or Medically Underserved Area/Population (MUA/P).

Responsibilities:

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

• Evaluating and treating patients using advanced diagnostic and treatment skills.
• Coordinating discharge planning with case management teams.
• Participating in efforts to enhance cost-effectiveness and quality of care.
• Accepting referrals from other healthcare providers and serving as the attending physician for hospitalized patients.
• Engaging in academic programs including medical education and research as needed.
• Providing thorough documentation to meet insurance requirements and managing appeals for denials.
• Participating in both inpatient and outpatient consultations, including on-call duties.

Requirements:

Applicants must possess:

• MD/DO credentials from the Kansas Board of Healing Arts prior to employment.
• A Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree.
