We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Perinatal team at Williamson Health, one of the South's most exceptional health care systems. Located in Franklin, Tennessee, we offer comprehensive in-patient and out-patient services with over 825 providers representing more than 70 medical specialties and sub-specialties.
About the JobThis is a part-time Registered Nurse NICU position working nights. As a member of our Perinatal team, you will provide specialized care for neonatal patients, ensuring optimal health and emotional support. Your focus will be on comprehensive assessments, individualized patient care planning, and adherence to safety protocols and nursing standards.
Job DescriptionThis role requires a Registered Nurse with a strong foundation in perinatal care, including obstetric, neonatal, and gynecologic nursing. You must have earned a nursing diploma or degree from a college or university, be licensed in the State of Tennessee, and possess Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire. A Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification within six months of hire is also required.
You will work in a nursery/NICU unit with a patient population ranging from less than one year of age > 30 days of age. This position demands flexibility, as you will need to stand/work for up to twelve hours a day and lift with assistance up to 250 lbs. Effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as you will work closely with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
Responsibilities- Perform comprehensive assessments on all patients within the appropriate time of admission using skills of observation, communication, and examination.
- Plan patient care on an individual basis, identifying problems/needs, nursing diagnosis, standards of care/practice, interventions consistent with identified problems, and attainable outcomes.
- Plan for patient teaching, discharge, and post-discharge needs as appropriate for the patient population.
- Function independently with treatments, procedures, and equipment appropriate to the area, evidenced by adherence to policy, procedure, and competency-based assessment.
- Handle, transport, store, prepare, and administer medications/solutions safely and in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
- Document accurately and timely.
- Reassess patient condition, evaluate patient response, and modify plan of care accordingly and in a timely manner.
- Accept Charge responsibilities and assign staff with consideration of patient condition and care requirements, acuity, and complexity of patient's condition.

SalaryThe estimated annual salary for this position is $95,000 - $120,000, depending on experience.
