Job Summary
As a Senior Engineer in our Combination Product Operations Digital and Data Strategies group, you'll develop and deploy advanced computational technologies and empirical models to improve process understanding, robustness, and monitoring. You'll work closely with internal stakeholders to develop and manage in-silico models, ensuring they're accurate and effective in supporting decision-making within the organization.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deploy rigorous computational models (in-silico modeling assets) of drug delivery device technologies.
  • Improve the way Amgen manages and utilizes in-silico models to enhance decision-making within the organization.
  • Apply in-silico modeling theory to develop novel mechanistic computational models (virtual combination products) addressing challenging problems associated with combination product design control, characterization, verification, and validation.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and manage in-silico models, ensuring they're accurate and effective in supporting decision-making within the organization.

Requirements:
  • Doctorate degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
  • Proficiency in mathematical and computational modeling, finite element analysis (FEA), and multi-physics problems using commercial software such as 3DEXPERIENCE platform SIMULIA, ANSYS, LS-Dyna, COMSOL.
  • Skilled in programming in Python, and/or MATLAB for engineering purposes.
  • Experience with GitLab and/or other code/model repositories available for version control, code collaboration, and project management.
  • Knowledge of Scrum and SAFe methodologies, with a proven track record as a scrum master or product owner.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and technical documentation skills.
