Job Summary:

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for providing direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician. The LPN will be responsible for administering medications, taking vital signs, performing wound care, and assisting patients with daily living activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer medications as prescribed by a physician or registered nurse
  • Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure and heart rate
  • Communicate with patients and their families about their care and treatment plan
  • Document patient visits and treatment plans in electronic medical records (EMR)
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as registered nurses, physicians, and therapists
  • Complete patient assessments and coordination of care
  • Identify and report changes in resident's condition to Registered Nurse
  • Follow infection control and safety protocols to ensure patient and staff safety
  • Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards in all patient interactions
Requirements:
  • Current state license as a Licensed Practical Nurse
  • Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
  • Knowledge of nursing principles and practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMRs) is preferred
