Position Information:

The Biomed Engineering Tech I is responsible for maintaining medical equipment through the effective use of the department's Medical Equipment Management Plan.

Performs intermediate-level tasks associated with the installation, maintenance, and inspection of medical equipment.

Maintains records of all activities associated with medical devices.

Demonstrates a working knowledge of current medical equipment technology, including computers, software, and networking, with the ability to adapt to developing technology.

Utilizes critical thinking skills to consult with more experienced technicians when making decisions regarding the maintenance of unfamiliar equipment.


Experience Requirements:
1 year of biomedical engineering or equivalent experience preferred, or 2 years of biomedical engineering or related position experience in lieu of degree.

Education Required:
Associate's degree in technology or information systems, or military equivalent required.

Licensure/Certification Requirements:
Not applicable.

Hours of Work:
Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

Weekend Requirements:
As needed.
