Job Description

Industrial Trade Services is seeking a skilled Millwright Helper to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial equipment and machinery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints, layout plans, and other schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
  • Dismantle machines using hand tools and power tools.
  • Move machinery and equipment using hoists, dollies, and rollers.
  • Assemble and install equipment using cranes, hand tools, and power tools.
  • Construct foundations for machines using hand tools and building materials.
  • Align machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, and hand tools.
  • Perform lubricating maintenance, cleaning activities, or repair of tools, machines, and equipment.
  • Responsible for observing and complying with all safety and project rules.
Requirements
  • Work within precise limits or standards of accuracy.
  • Apply shop mathematics to solve problems.
  • Use logical step-by-step procedures in work.
  • Plan work and select proper tools.
  • Compare and see differences in size, shape, and form of lines, figures, and objects.
  • Visualize objects in three dimensions from plans and drawings.
  • Make decisions based on measurable criteria.
  • Perform a variety of duties, which may change often.

The employee must frequently lift or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

May require a high school diploma or its equivalent with previous years of experience in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
