Coverage and Responsibilities
- Radiology and Teleradiology: Our Emergency Medicine Physician will be responsible for interpreting radiology images and providing teleradiology services to patients in the emergency department.
- Anesthesiology: Our physician will work closely with our anesthesiology team to provide anesthesia services to patients undergoing surgical procedures.
- Ultrasound: Our physician will be responsible for performing ultrasound procedures and interpreting images to diagnose and treat patients.
- OB/Gyn: Our physician will work with our OB/Gyn team to provide care to patients with obstetric and gynecologic needs.
- ENT: Our physician will work with our ENT team to provide care to patients with ear, nose, and throat conditions.
- Cardiology: Our physician will work with our cardiology team to provide care to patients with cardiovascular conditions.
- Neurology (Tele-neurology): Our physician will work with our neurology team to provide tele-neurology services to patients with neurological conditions.
- ICU (10-bed unit): Our physician will work with our ICU team to provide care to critically ill patients.
About the Program and Hours
Our Emergency Medicine Physician will work in a 14-bed emergency department that sees approximately 21,000 annual visits. Our physician will work 12-hour shifts, with 6a-6p and 6p-6a shifts available. Our physician will also work closely with our APP team to provide care to patients.
Qualifications
- Active Alabama License: Our ideal candidate will have an active Alabama medical license or be able to obtain one.
- Board Certification: Our ideal candidate will be board certified in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine.
- ATLS, ACLS, PALS, and BALS Certification: Our ideal candidate will have current certification in ATLS, ACLS, PALS, and BALS.
