Position Summary:
As a Marine Cargo Handler, your primary responsibility will be to safely and efficiently unload products from vessels, employing the correct equipment and handling techniques.
Key Duties:
- Acquire knowledge of all product types, sub-categories, and specifications for sorting and handling of all items received at the dock.
- Ensure that all products received, processed, or dispatched adhere to Pacific Seafood's quality standards.
- Alert supervisors to any discrepancies encountered.
- Maintain communication with leads, supervisors, and fellow team members regarding supply material levels.
- Keep all workspaces tidy and organized at all times.
- Learn and implement all Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOP) relevant to job responsibilities.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
- Occasionally required to lift and/or move items weighing up to 50/100 pounds.
What You Bring to Pacific Seafood:
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience operating cranes, hoists, and forklifts.
- Relevant experience and/or training in a similar role.
- Forklift certification.
Compensation:
The hourly wage for this position ranges from $16.5 to $17.
