Progesys is a well-established firm recognized for its proficiency in overseeing industrial projects and ensuring their seamless transition from construction to operational phases.

Founded in Laval, Canada, in 2002, Progesys has expanded its reach with offices across the United States, the Middle East, Asia, and South America.

Currently, Progesys is seeking an Industrial Automation Control Engineer to contribute to a mining initiative in Mongolia.



Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary discipline representative responsible for executing the assigned work scope effectively.
  • Ensure that the PLC/DCS control systems, along with their associated I/O, function according to design specifications and are properly configured and tested to validate compliance with design criteria.

Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 15 years of professional experience following the completion of relevant graduate or trade training.
  • At least 10 years of experience in Industrial Automation, including programming PLCs and DCS, and integrating industrial control systems.
  • Experience in remote site operations is preferred.
  • Familiarity with heavy industry/process commissioning, industrial equipment integration, and automation is essential.

Exposure to a variety of equipment is required, including but not limited to:

  • ABB/SIEMENS PLCs, Emerson DCS (or equivalent), level and pressure instrumentation, hazardous area instrumentation, SIL-rated safety equipment, PROFIBUS and BUS topologies, structured cabling systems, fiber optic networks, HV transformer protection and control schemes, and HV/LV cabling systems.
  • ABB/SIEMENS switchgear, VSD drives, motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, crushing equipment, pumps, gearboxes, fluid systems, pipework, heat exchangers, valves, boilers, and hazardous area wiring schemes.

Experience with software tools such as Emerson DeltaV, AB RSLogix, FactoryTalk, Siemens SIMATIC TIA, STE7/STEP5, WinCC, and Prosoft Tools is advantageous.
