Job Overview

The Warehouse Operations Associate plays a crucial role in the efficient handling and processing of materials, supplies, and manufacturing equipment. This position requires maintaining a clean and organized workspace in accordance with safety standards.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day

Reporting Structure:

The Warehouse Operations Associate reports directly to the Manufacturing Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret work orders and pick tickets accurately.
  • Utilize manufacturing machinery such as cutting saws, threading machines, polishing machines, deburrers, and shotblasters to prepare metal products.
  • Employ hand tools to cut, grind, or chip excess metal from products.
  • Engage in physical activities including bending, kneeling, lifting over 50 pounds, and climbing.
  • Assist the Manufacturing Manager in operating additional machinery as needed.
  • Safely transport raw materials and finished goods, utilizing forklifts or manual methods.
  • Assemble components into finished products, ensuring proper packaging and stacking.
  • Organize and prepare outgoing shipments as required.
  • Secure goods for shipment, including labeling and shipping instructions.
  • Oversee the loading and unloading of products from transport vehicles.
  • Inspect incoming shipments against documentation, noting any discrepancies or damages.
  • Unpack, categorize, and store goods in designated areas.
  • Maintain accurate manual record-keeping systems.
  • Operate forklifts and hand trucks for transporting and storing goods.
  • Participate in inventory counts as necessary.
  • Complete daily and weekly reporting as required.
  • Develop and implement methods to enhance productivity and service quality.
  • Ensure consistent adherence to company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma preferred.
  • 0-1 year of relevant work experience.
  • Previous experience in warehouse, production, or equipment service is advantageous.
  • Ability to operate manual and powered pallet jacks.
  • Strong attention to detail is essential.
  • Forklift certification is a plus.
