Critical Care Registered Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Response Team. As a critical care nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Lead and participate in safe nursing care activities, delegating tasks to ancillary personnel as needed.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of patient care and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team, patient, and family to ensure seamless care and discharge planning.
- Assess and provide teaching based on patient and family needs.
- Participate in departmental quality improvement and research activities.
- Utilize all available resources to provide quality, cost-effective patient care.
- Meet and maintain clinical competencies, including Basic Life Support and ACLS.
- Identify growth needs and participate in educational opportunities and professional organizations.
- Serve as a role model and preceptor to new graduate nurses and less experienced personnel.
- Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Rhode Island or a participating state in the Nurse Licensure Compact.
- Baccalaureate in Nursing preferred.
- Minimum three years of current clinical experience in critical care nursing, including responding to cardiac arrests and clinical emergencies in a hospital setting.
- Visual and aural ability to monitor patient status.
- Physical ability to assist in lifting and positioning patients.
- Exposed to patient care environment.
- Physical ability for extensive walking and standing; lifting, positioning, and pushing patients on stretchers.
- Must have full range of body motion.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and color vision.
- Must be able to speak and hear clearly.
- Must have the ability to stand, sit, walk, bend, lean, and squat for long periods of time without hindrance.
- Must be able to maintain dexterity when pulling, pushing, and gripping carts and stretchers.
- Must be physically able to perform CPR.
