The University of Miami is seeking a Per Diem UMMG Staff Physician to provide medical care to patients at UMH, JMH, and satellites, as well as SCCC and satellites. The incumbent will receive patient assignments based on their educational discipline, expertise, and experience.
Key Responsibilities- Provide patient care services, including gross description, tissue sampling, microscopic examinations, and reporting of findings.
- Attend and present at relevant tumor boards, as requested.
- Participate in educational activities of pathology residents and fellows.
- Participate in educational activities of medical students.
- Participate in daily quality assurance and in the Department of Pathology hospital committees and working groups.
- Maintain high standards of professional services to ensure accreditation.
- Report hazardous or unsafe conditions, equipment malfunction, and supply instrumentation inadequacies.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- M.D. in a relevant field.
- Certification in a relevant specialty or field.
- Successfully completed residency in AP or AP/CP residency program.
- 1-2 years signout experience desired.
