Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Asphalt Production Operator to join our team at Ergon Asphalt and Emulsions, Inc. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and efficiency of our asphalt binder production process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with laboratory testing and quality control measures to ensure compliance with industry standards
  • Input data into reports and maintain accurate records of production and quality specifications
  • Sample and test product quality to ensure consistency and reliability
  • Load and unload trucks and railcars in a safe and efficient manner
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment and machinery to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance
  • Participate in daily production meetings to discuss quality, safety, and environmental concerns
  • Utilize safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment
  • Ensure good housekeeping and organization of the facility
  • Stay up-to-date on required training and certifications
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, management, and customers to meet production and quality goals
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Proficiency in Excel and computer skills preferred
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong reading and comprehension skills
  • Basic math skills and ability to perform calculations
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physical tasks as required
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends
  • Willingness to work outdoors in all seasons
