Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled CDL Truck Driver to join our team. As a CDL Truck Driver, you will be responsible for operating heavy-duty trucks with front, side, or rear-end load lift attachments, transporting waste or recyclable material to disposal, transfer or recycle facilities, and navigating high-traffic and congested roadways, driveways, alleyways, and lots.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate vehicles in accordance with Waste Management Safety and Life Critical Rules, OSHA, and DOT requirements.
  • Perform pre and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicles and document checks utilizing the standard DVIR.
  • Immediately report all unsafe situations or service-related issues to Route Manager or Dispatch.
  • Attend and participate in all scheduled training programs, briefings, and meetings as required by Waste Management or directed by the Route Manager.
  • Work closely with Route Manager to improve route efficiencies and identify best practices.
  • Notify Route Manager of any incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage.
  • Notify Route Manager or Dispatch of service interruptions, including closed or impassable streets or alleyways, receptacles too heavy to service, or potential safety hazards.
  • Communicate customer requests to Dispatch or Route Manager.
  • Completely dump all receptacles and leave the customer's location clean and free of debris.
  • Follow route assignments as directed and complete end-of-day documentation and check-out process.
  • Perform all duties as scheduled by Route Manager or Dispatch and assist other drivers as directed to meet customer needs.
Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Successfully complete pre-employment DOT drug screen and DOT physical.
  • Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A with an air-brake endorsement or Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class B with an air-brake endorsement.
