The Dietary Dish room/Utility position plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our hospital's food service operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for washing and sanitizing dishes, utensils, and equipment, as well as assisting with the setup and breakdown of special functions and events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow established protocols and procedures for dishwashing, sanitizing, and cleaning equipment and surfaces.
- Assist with the delivery of food trays to patient floors, ensuring timely and efficient service.
- Operate dishwashing machines and other equipment safely and effectively.
- Participate in the setup and breakdown of special functions and events, including decorating, serving, and cleaning.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by management or supervisors.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in food service or a related field is a plus.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
